United Way of the Cape Fear Area has been serving southeastern North Carolina since 1941. They work alongside local agencies to assist them in making positive changes within the Cape Fear area. The United Way staff and board assist in identifying the needs in the community and working with area donors to invest in solutions that achieve results.

“Atlantic Computer Services and United Way of the Cape Fear Area have partnered together for many years. Robbie Garner, President and CEO, has taken a personal interest in the local community by volunteering his time on the United Way Board of Directors, and has continued his generous support through contributions of technical service to the United Way. Over the past four years, Robbie and his staff have gone over-and-above to support the United Way through a generous in-kind donation of their technical expertise. He and his staff are available whenever needed and address our computer issues in the most courteous and friendly manner. On behalf of everyone at the United Way, we are truly overwhelmed by the generosity and kindness of this company and are pleased to call Robbie Garner at Atlantic Computer Services a trusted friend and dedicated supporter of our Cape Fear community.”

The mission of Good Shepherd Center is to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless and foster transition to housing. GSC will be celebrating their 30 year anniversary of providing services in the Cape Fear region. The organization began as a soup kitchen in 1983 and has evolved into the largest provider of homeless services in the region. Over the course of a year, GSC serves more than 900 individuals and provides more than 85,000 hot meals.

“Good Shepherd Center is proud to partner with Atlantic Computer Services and to be the recipient of their generous support. Throughout the year, ACS’ talented staff supports Good Shepherd with our technical needs, from setting up new computers to trouble shooting on hardware and software issues. Just a phone call away, they are always ready and available to help! We are so grateful for their time and expertise which has saved us valuable dollars that we use to focus on our mission to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless and foster transition to housing for men, women and children. We salute ACS for their commitment to Good Shepherd and ending hunger and homelessness in our community.”
